A ship navigating the bend of the Mississippi River in New Orleans. This shot was taken through my Hotel window which gave it a somewhat muted effect and the late evening light was really nice. I love "hybrid" texturized photos so I gave this one a texture blend in PS and really like the result. I hope you will too!
Went to a butterfly farm this weekend. I was able to photograph several native butterflies, but was also amazed at the plants and flowers that attract these amazing creatures. These are just a couple. It was extremely windy and somewhat overcast, so capturing anything was a challenge, but did get some nice shots.
This sign made me think of the Eagles song "Hotel California". This hotel can be found in the Stockyards of Fort Worth and the spirits would probably be cowboys from days gone by.
Long hot summer is over, recent rains have spawned new growth. These are just a couple you see in early fall in Texas. It's actually like a second spring. The mushroom is from one of my dogs "laying" the foundation in the yard, so to speak......
