Out on the Farm

Recently drove about 80 miles west to a friend's farm to do some night photography. This scene was the only thing worthy of the effort. Moon was 88% full. Top image was light painted along with moonlight. Bottom image was just a late afternoon seen with 4 exposures blended for HDR. I liked the color version, but thought B/W was better.

Going Up, Going Down

These guys can be a real pain around the house, but I love to watch them in nature.

Evening Splendor

This part of Texas doesn't provide much in the in the way of inspiring landscapes, and winter is even worse, but you know what they say; " When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" Winter skies provide more clouds than any other time of year, and many times, the sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. I think I found one of those tonight! This is pretty close to straight from the camera. GND filters are the bomb!

Superbowl Sunset

Another partly cloudy day showed promise of a very colorful sunset. Cloud cover at the horizon blocked the sunlight after sunset, not too bad anyway.
